Davies-Brenchley-Davies

Songs and Tunes from Britain, Ireland and the USA

This talented trio of British Folk Artists is visiting the USA for the first time. The flowing fiddle playing of Terry Brenchley combines with the melodeon, banjo and keyboard skills of Gwilym and Carol Davies to back their strong voices and harmonies. The trio have been playing together in various groups over many years and bring to their music a rare background of research into traditional music and song.

Gwilym Davies was resident in the USA for a period in the 1990s, during which time he carried out folksong collecting trips to the Appalachian and Adirondack Mountains, making many recordings which have been placed with the Library of Congress.   He plays banjo, concertina, and melodeon.

Keyboardist Carol Davies has been involved in folk music for many years and is known for her lovely voice and excellent harmonies.

Terry Brenchley is an accomplished fiddler who now resides mainly in France, where he has made a special study of French folk tunes.
